My mother always cut the tail before release the chicken

My mother is a good chicken farmer. When she was young, she had hundreds local race chicken. When she has not money he sold some chicken. I never doubt her because she is a good chicken farmer. He raised also dozen Indian runner duck at the backyard that lays eggs everyday.
Sometimes she buys some chicken to add the chicken population at the backyard. Before she releases it to the free range, she cut the tail of the chicken. The chicken look weird after my mother cut it. Fortunately the tail grow and it better than before.
She said that the chicken will back to the house. Of course, I never believe it because it is just a suggestion. The chicken will back to the house as long we provide it with the enough chicken food. We also guarantee the security of the chicken house or pen.
We do not have to believe that cutting the tail make your chicken recognize its home. However, cutting the tail will make your chicken “more beautiful”

Five Toes Chicken

How many the chicken toes? We must answer four. The chicken contain four toes that three in front and one at the back. Those toes are useful to find the food at the soil.    Many years ago, I have ever seen some chicken has five toes that is different to common chicken. My neighbor who also the chicken trades has at least five roosters which have five toes. The chicken is a landrace chicken which is also the Red Jungle Fowl Gallus Gallus descendant and the Rhode Island.
The chicken is not similar to ancestor because the red and the Rhode has four toes only. Perhaps the mutation occurs in the chicken. However, some chicken class has five toes such as :
1. Silky Chicken
The beautiful soft plumage chicken comes from Chinese. The chicken color is white, black, and partridge. Some breeders also produce the grey and blue variant. The Chicken has five toes. Some chicken has feathered shanks, but some others are not.
2. Feverolles
The chicken is so large. Beside its beard, the chicken also has five toes. The chicken is big like Rhode Island redthat is raise for its meats or eggs
3. Dorking
The chicken from Britain but it is developed at German. The Dorking color is grey, silver, white and others. The chicken has five toes and it is a good meat producer.
4. Houdan
This is a uniquely chicken from French that is descendant so much chicken such as Dorking, Silky and Polish. The chicken has backward flowing crest up front its head. The size chicken is mid size. They have five toes like its ancestors silky and Dorking. The bird is raised as a show bird.
5. Sultans
The chicken comes from Turkey that has five toes. The chicken has crest like the Poland Chicken. It

Brahma Chicken for Pet

Brahma is a large chicken class that is rising for its meat or eggs. Most breeders use it for its large meat. I believe that the chicken from India. It  has been widespread to world. The chicken weighs 5.5 kilogram and the feather is so thick becuase the chicken comes from the subtropical chicken. The feather almost covers all body including the shanks.
In my opinion, the chicken is not good as pet because it is not simple. The feather or plumage is not beautiful too the Brahma is not different to Rhode Island Red, Wyandotte, Langshan, and others. The variation color of the chicken is just white, buff, birchen, black, dark and others.
You need large coops to raise the chicken and also high. You also need more chicken feed for the Brahma too due it’s has large size. I do not see a good reason to raise the chicken for the pet. The chicken voice is just same with other chicken.
In US and United Kingdom, the birds are not competed as the show Bird. Perhaps there is some competition fro the Brahma but as the utility chicken.
I my country, people sales the chicken as the pets because it is unique. The Brahma is rare in my country. Perhaps people raise the chicken because it’s rarely and uniquely.
I think ever people has right to raise any chicken as the pet. The chicken is tame and it is good for pet. They can stand with cold or hot weather.

Bantam Naked Neck hybrid

In my opinion, this chicken is the most geek in the world because the bantam has no feather on its neck. I think the looks will like small vulture or small guinea fowl. I never imagine cross the necked neck with bantam because it is useless. A bantam is chicken with a nice performance but necked neck has geek performance.
The hybrid that has large single comb but has no neck feather is very geek. The hybrid may has pea comb like the naked neck but it is small like the bantam. I think you will not raise the bird at yur house or your backyard. The price is not good too because there

I think the chicken lover will not buy the chicken because it is very strange. Supposedly, they cross the bantam with other bantam such as silkie, sebright bantam, Belgian and others. The hybrid may produce a new beautiful bantam. You may cross the bantam to frizzle chicken to produce the frizzle bantam.
On the other hand, we can cross the necked neck with other big chicken such as game bird, Bangkok, and others. The naked neck is often crossed to game bird produce the bad game bird.

Sulmtaler The Heavy Meat Chicken From Austria

This chicken are domesticated from Austria. In order to create a heavy meat chicken, the Sulmtaler breeders crosses variant chicken such as Dorking, Houdan, and Cochin. The bird is heavy and the good layer too. The hen can lays 150-180 eggs a  year but the hen is non sitters. The egg weigh 55 gram.
People raise the chicken for both meat and eggs. The rosters weigh 3-4 kilogram and the hen 2-2,5 kilogram.

Either hen and roster has crest below its comb. The crest does not cover the eye because its  grow to back. Sulmtaer has thick plumage and the clean feet.
The hen color is golden wheaten and the roster black breasted red. Some white Sulmtaler was created in the Eastern German after World War II.There are also silver and blue variant.

Kediri’s Phoenix Chicken: Onagodori From Kediri, East Java

Kediri Phoenix gets its name from the city where the bird has been raised. Kediri is a municipal at east Java Province (Provinsi Jawa Timur), Indonesia. The breeder has named phoenix because its long tail looks like the phoenix bird. Actually, the phoenix is different to roosters because it cannot fly. The rooster’s tail feather could reach one meter in long;whereas hen's tails is not long as the rosters. The hen tail’s is almost similar to common chicken. This bird is very special because its tail. The color of the Phoenix is silver duckwing. The breasted and tail is black but the neck and the wing color is silver and red. The color is not different to Onagodori. There are nice red single comb at the head with double wattle. The rosters has bigger comb than the hen. There are white earlobes. The feet are green willow. The chicken is slim and it is for show bird. The Kediri is descendant of the Onagodori. We are not doubt about it. The breeder names it Kediri Phoenix because it is lived at the Kediri. Of course United States Poultry standard or any Poultry standard does not admire the Kediri because it is Onagodori. Perhaps the breeder also crossed it to Indonesia native chicken (I do not know it exactly) In my country, people name any species when they success breed at here. Of course the International does not recognize the breed as a new breed. In my country people do not think about name. They will give name that they think that is very good for them. I do not also mind with it. The bird is expensive. A Kediri price could reach $100, compared for common chicken that is only $10.

The Large and Small bantam

In my country, Indonesia, the pet sellers divide the Bantam into two kinds: Large bantam and small bantam. The large are named for the bantam that has larger body than the small. Either the large or the large weigh is not more than one kilogram. I think the large size is similar to silkie bantam or Poland; while the small size is same as Javanese bantam or Japanese bantam. Some small bantam size is almost similar to Serama.
The small bantam is more expensive than the large. People raise the small because it is simple and more beauty. People said that the small is the pure bantam; meanwhile the large must be a bantam descendent. Some chicken lover crosses the bantam to others chicken such as broiler or local chicken. I have written some years ago about Japanese Bantam that bears the longer shank legs chicken. Around a quarter or 25% of the Japanese descendant has longer shank. The descendent is higher than the parents. The performance is not good as the parent. I love the Small because it is fun and I do not have to feed them with more chicken feed. I can also save the chicken feed. The small also need small space, we just need small coops or pen. We can breed the small at small space. The way of walk bantam is funny. Meanwhile the larger is also good too. The large must provide more meat than the small. It is not wrong to eat the bantam chicken because the meat is not different to other chicken. We can raise the large at the backyard as the meat reserves. I do not know what the standardization for the Indonesia Bantam is because we have no standardization poultry association in our country, not like United States or Great Britain. United States has a standard for the chicken bantam. The weigh mature chicken is not more than one kilogram. The wing is angle down, touching the land or floor. The size is small than the common chicken. Either United States or Great Britain does not categorize into large or small. United states just recognize real bantam or unreal bantam. Real bantam is the bantam that has no other varieties; while the bantam is derivation from the standard chicken. The breeder select the bantam from the standard chicken that the characters is almost similar unless its size.
