Raise Chicken in landfill

 i took the photo at the landfill, where there is a lot waste and rubiish on there. this place is a transift before any rubbish dump in final place. there are so many plastic that you can see at the photo. you must be difficult to find any chicken in this photo. 

It is common prcatice in underdeveloped country to raise chicken or cattle in landfill. it is cheaper than raise chicken in the flock. 

There are some risk raise chicken in the landfil such as: 

1. disease transmition. the landfill is full of disease. the chicken eat the rubbish may bring some danger diseases such as salmonellea and avian flu

2.the lack of nutrition . rubbish is bad food and lack of nutirion. 

3. i believe there is such toxic in landfill. the pestiside can kill the chciken. 

4. the chicken also spread the waste. they use the feed to find but it spread the waste 

5. Either the Meat and the egg is not health. what chicken eat influence the meat and egg quality. 

The Indio Gigante Competitor

I thought that the Indio Gigante is similar to Ayam Pelung in size. I had two Pelung rosters that tall almost one meters. Actually , I am not very sure the tall of my chicken. I read some literature that Ayam pelung tall is less than a meter. Finding one meter tall must be hard work. 

I suspected There is a pelung that reach one meter. In the Indonesian agriculture ministry said that the tall of the chicken is 40-50 cm or half of the Indio Gigante. The Chicken is not equivalent competitor for The Giant. 

I ask chat ai , what chicken breed that is equivalent counterpart of Indio Gigante. Unfortunately these chickens are not better  Ayam Pelung. The other competitor weigh 5-6 in average, meaning the weigh is not different to Ayam Pelung. 

One of competitor is Jersey Giant , that's is from Jersey United States. As the Giant , it weighs up to 6 kilogram . The tall is not tall as the Indio. Perhaps this is the second rank of size Chicken. .Jersey tall is about  55-66 cm or 22-26 inch. the Jersey Gianyis taller than Ayam Pelung but shorter than Indio Gigante. 

There is also Brahma. I have write about the chicken in my previous post. Though the name of the Chicken sounds India, the chicken originated  from United States. The full feathered Chicken from the feet and legs to the head. The thick feather cover it's body. It is tall about the chicken. This chicken is meat purpose, meaning the chicken for table 

Other competitor is Cornish. The chicken is originated in English. it weighs to five kilogram. The Cornish is a parent stock or Broiler Chicken. It famous by its wide broad breast. 

Don't forget the Malay that also the parent of Indio Gigante. Though not tall as the Indio but the chicken descent the upright posture to the Indio. This chicken looks like fighter. 

Interesting Fact About Helmeted Guinea Fowl

 in my opinion this bird id beautiful with the white speckles like pearl in its feather. The big or large bird live in African Savanna. It eat some grain, tuber and alsi insect. Here some interesting fact about Guinea Fowl.

Why some single comb chicken leaf over?

the comb is the crown of the chicken. It's attract some chicken hobbyist. The red blood color make the chicken looks handsome. As the chicken comb grow up they look leaf over especially the single. We rarely find some chicken comb leaf over such as pea, cushion and other. I saw this case happen in rose comb such as silkie chicken. 

The comb is full of blood capiller and gel. The function of comb to keep the chicken body temperature. It is important part of chicken body. Without comb chicken may leave but it is not beautiful as the chicken that has red blood single comb. 

The leaf over could happen as the chicken grow. You may not see the young chicken comb leaf over. The older chicken that age more than two years suffered comb leaf over.. the pension of chicken layer also suffer comb leaf over but it is not visible as the what happen in rosters due the small size of the hen comb. The comb could not cover the chicken hen. 

Some chicken leaf over because the fighting. A roster may break the other roster camb. The kick of the rosters is strong enough to damage the chicken comb. That is why , the game rosters owner do not like single comb game chicken. In my hometown, there is a prcatidce of cutting comb. To me, it is not good. It could torture the chicken. you are better to buy other chicken rather than cut the comb the chicken . I do not whether the cutting of chicken comb is forbidden in overseas. 

Egyptian Pigeon Tower: Raise thousand pigeon in high building

 I have read a book about pigeon tower in Bahasa Indonesia. The Book content is about how to build a tower pigeon. I believe today there is no pigeon tower in my country Indonesia because the region is not appropriate with the tower. Building it needs so much mud and bricks to build it. 

I wonder how to feed so many pigeons there? it must be bothered. you need abundant pigeon grain to fulfill their need. how many times feed them. An article said that it just need once or two times a day. Well, lack or insufficient feed makes the bird run from the loft or tower. Pigeon is a pragmatism bird. they will find any owner that so kind ti them.

I also wonder how to clean it. It is need so many people to clean the huge tower that contain so many pigeon. I also wonder how the owner harvest the squab. Are they catch the old pigeon or the younger one? The pigeon meat is delicious and it is the good cuisine in Egypt. 

I am afraid use the tower make you lose. In other word, you have to provide money for the tower. You need some worker to manage the tower and the revenue is not equivalent to the cost. 

the tower is very beautiful. this make Egyptian more beautiful.
