Broiler ayam kampung crosses

 

As the broad chicken, a broiler is a good meat chicken. it weighs 2 kilogram in 40 days. some broiler can beyond the weighs in 40 days. in my country, the farmer just raises for 30 days to produce less two-kilogram broiler meat. The people do not like big chicken. they like smaller chicken. On the other hand, the farmers must be pleasure because, they do not have to raise for next ten days. Raising for next ten days need more chicken feed, man power, electricity, and other costs.

The taste of broiler meet is not delicious as ayam kampung. The price is juts one third of Ayam kampung. People believe because the fast growing the meat is not delicious. However, this chicken meat has helped people.

Broiler is a descent of various chicken breed. A famous of the broiler parent is broad breast Cornish chicken. Not surprisingly, the broiler gets high breast from the Cornish.

The cornish is dedicated for meat production. its is derived from some game chicken that has upward posture. While some chicken also participates in broiler chicken such as Rhode Island Red and Plymouth Rock.

in my country, this chicken is risen for pet. Some chicken owner raises the broiler until two years. the two yeas chicken must be bigger than common broiler at the time. the broiler reaches the maximum weigh. Sometimes the broiler are used the parent of the chicken. Some experts cross the chicken with Ayam kampung to improve the meat production. The cross must be heavier than the ayam kampung.

The expert also selects some crosses. They just select the best performance for the ayam kampung. Some crosses is fast growing and some is resisted to some diseases. The owner often crosses the male broiler to ayam kampung because it the broiler female cannot hatch the egg. Most owner just traditional farmer who do not have incubator. It is not simple cross the broiler hen.

Dorking Chicken, England Chicken that has five toes.

 

Dorking is a famous chciken breed come from Dorking, England. This rectangular body shape with short legs is good both ini meat and eggs. The color of egg is white, Eventhough,  the Dorking har red earlobes. Most the white eggs come from whie ear lobes hen. The average of egg production is not more than 200 egg a year, the exact range is 170-190 eggs. The egg production does not exceed the levels seen in common dual-purpose chickens, including the Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire, and Plymouth Rock.

This chciken is dual purpose chicken developed from Belgiia in Roman era. The dorking is a five toes chicken, similar to the silkie chicken. The roman brought the chicken as fine table.

THe chicken is large. the rooster weighs 4,55 to 6,55 kilogram (10-14 lbs); while, the hen weighs 3 to 5 kilogram (8-11 lbs). there is bantam version weighs around a kilograms. The roster bantam wieghs 1130 to 1360 grams, meanwhile, the hen slighlty diferrent. it weighs 910-1130 gram. Some bantam has rosecomb.

There are five color that is reconition bys the standard breeed, such as white, sliver grey, red, dark and cucko. The silver grey color is the color pattern with silver neck color. the silve grey also have grey color in sadddle and the center of wing. The remain color of is is black.

The Dorking is not hard winter due its wide comb. Meanwhile, the chciken is not tolerate with hot condition or hot weather.

In my country, there is dorking descendant. the descendant is called Ayam Kedu. The kedu has no five toes but the performance is similar to Dokring. They have have upright body and tall. The comb is also single wide with red earlobe. There is thre color variation of Kedu, such as White, Red and color.

 

Raise Chicken in landfill

 i took the photo at the landfill, where there is a lot waste and rubiish on there. this place is a transift before any rubbish dump in final place. there are so many plastic that you can see at the photo. you must be difficult to find any chicken in this photo. 

It is common prcatice in underdeveloped country to raise chicken or cattle in landfill. it is cheaper than raise chicken in the flock. 

There are some risk raise chicken in the landfil such as: 

1. disease transmition. the landfill is full of disease. the chicken eat the rubbish may bring some danger diseases such as salmonellea and avian flu

2.the lack of nutrition . rubbish is bad food and lack of nutirion. 

3. i believe there is such toxic in landfill. the pestiside can kill the chciken. 

4. the chicken also spread the waste. they use the feed to find but it spread the waste 

5. Either the Meat and the egg is not health. what chicken eat influence the meat and egg quality.
