the comb is the crown of the chicken. It's attract some chicken hobbyist. The red blood color make the chicken looks handsome. As the chicken comb grow up they look leaf over especially the single. We rarely find some chicken comb leaf over such as pea, cushion and other. I saw this case happen in rose comb such as silkie chicken. 

The comb is full of blood capiller and gel. The function of comb to keep the chicken body temperature. It is important part of chicken body. Without comb chicken may leave but it is not beautiful as the chicken that has red blood single comb. 

The leaf over could happen as the chicken grow. You may not see the young chicken comb leaf over. The older chicken that age more than two years suffered comb leaf over.. the pension of chicken layer also suffer comb leaf over but it is not visible as the what happen in rosters due the small size of the hen comb. The comb could not cover the chicken hen. 

Some chicken leaf over because the fighting. A roster may break the other roster camb. The kick of the rosters is strong enough to damage the chicken comb. That is why , the game rosters owner do not like single comb game chicken. In my hometown, there is a prcatidce of cutting comb. To me, it is not good. It could torture the chicken. you are better to buy other chicken rather than cut the comb the chicken . I do not whether the cutting of chicken comb is forbidden in overseas.

In my country people raise the chicken in fre range. In urban city such as Jakarta people still raise the chicken in free range.  Actually, the capital government has forbid raise chicken since the avian influence came. The citizen should slaughter that chicken ithey can send to the capital government. There is no other rule that retreat the law so the status still forbidden, meaning Jakarta citizen is not allowed raise chicken 

However people still raise chicken.  sometimes the chicken change. We are difficult to identify our chicken . Certainly, the other people also difficult to identify the chicken . That is why the people should sign the chicken. Off course , you do not have to use hot iron to. Make sign. On your chicken . My mother just cut its tail to make our chicken different to other. Off course in a month the chicken rail recover back. This way is not effective or what my mother donde was not effective. 

Some people tied the wong with factory. It does not harmful for chicken. The factory make the chicken different to other. The owner can claim. The chicken. This way is not hindered percent effective but it decrease the probability the chicken changed with other chicken. We can recognize the chicken from other people chicken. 

The chicken that is reiase in free range is not expensive but cheap. You can but it by providing $ 10 only. So this chicken just for table chicken only. Do not ask the hygiene of the chicken. They live in fre range that is contain of rubbish. We do not know any rubbish at the rubbish place. 

For the show chicken or game chicken, the owner would not release the chicken in free range. They take the chicken carefully. They provide limited range and always guard the chicken.

 

why I prefer chicken than roster or hen?

Most the exhibit chicken or show chicken is expensive than ordinary chicken because it is limited. Serama is far expensive than common chicken such as ayam kampung, broiler, Rhode Island Red and so on. That is why I bought the chicken. 

I care Pelung Chicken and it is success unfortunately, I raise two big Pelung Roster. One plumage is white completely and one is wheat is color. I was disappointed because either the white or the wheat are not pure breed. I am pretty sure the chicken is Pelung - Broiler Cross. Some bad breeder crosses Pelung with other chicken to gain more profit. I do not care about it because I just want rise any chicken. 

The chicken is cheaper than roster or hen. The price is only quarter or ten percent of roster or hen. I can save some money. I have to watch the growing of the chicken. To me it is a miracles. Yhe roster also close with me because theu recognize me.

The also adorable to our house. To me it is more profitable to raise the small chicken thanbtge big 

I also have intention to sell the bigger . There are some business to raise the chicken. 

What are made a coop stinky?

Chicken is a living creature and every living creature produces manure. Therefore, if you want to raise chickens we must prepare for the smell of chicken manure.
Cages will smell because chickens will produce manure. Other odors produced are due to spillage of food mixed with water. This odor will disturb not only us but also other people. Your neighbors will complain if you smell cage.

Chickens that live in cages will produce odors that more than chickens reared at free range.
For that you should clean the cage daily. If we cage is good then we can draw the base enclosure and then swept it clean. To reduce odor, we could douse with carbolic fragrance.
To avoid chicken always spilled feed, we can tie up the feed on the cage wall. Chickens will not be able to withdraw feed and spilled feed. Chickens have a habit of pawing the floor fodder to select the feed. If the feeder bound and is higher than her feet can not shed the chicken feed.
