Maltese Pigeon Tall pigeon with its unique body

This bird is not similar to common rock pigeon (Columba Livia). This bird have elongated and slender body like chicken . Of course, the pigeon has more upright body than Chicken. The bird has boxy looks. 

The neck is long and so the body of the pigeon. They length reach 15-19 inches or 38-48 cm. They are available min brown, pied, black, and Blue

This bird is dedicated for fancy bird. The Maltese is docile and they are calm. They is why this bird fits for fancy pigeon. 

Maltese is not Malta Island Origin like other people said. This is a hybrid some various fancy pigeon breed. This bird are believed developed in 19th century. 

The manouvre of roller pigeon.

The roller is not popular in my country. the pigeon lover loves high flyer pigeon. As the pigeon fly high . The pigeon better. There are some contesst of high fly but I am curious that the contest is connected to gambling. The pigeon that first come to the target and fly high is the winner. The price reach $10,000, compared to common the high flying that is only $10. 

Back to roller. Only few people that raise the pigeon. The roller is imported from outside. We do not recognize the roller in my country. I just saw the bird from television or YouTube that the bird can roll and roll back either in air or in the land. The parlor roller is a pigeon breed that can tumbling either in air or in the ground. But they like to tumb on the ground. Meanwhile the Birmingham roller only show back roll manouvre in air only. 

The roller is an adaptation behaviour of the bird to evade from the Buzzard Attack. The Buzzard has high speed and easily caught the pigeon with is speed. Therefore the roller can manouvre to evade from the Buzzard Claw. 

This adaptation does not appear in Pigeon in our country. Perhaps the Buzzard is different in my country. The pigeon also not need to hide from a buzzard. 

There is contest in roller pigeon. The owner whistling the bird and the pigeons start rolling in sky. What a beautiful movement. I amazed the bird can understand the order of its boss.

This bird is not different to rock dove. The bird has short face that is sometimes called shirt face tumbler. The beaks is so short. I think the short face is adaptable psychical of the bird. We can say only the short face that has ability roll. 

I was so wrong . The roller is not adaptable way to evade from Buzzard. The roller movement may make the Buzzard disorient but the pigeon also suffer disorient that may get caught by the Buzzard. This bird are dedicated for hobbyist only that is why you should careful to raise the bird especially your house have so many pigeon's enemy. 

how to give sign to your free range chicken

In my country people raise the chicken in fre range. In urban city such as Jakarta people still raise the chicken in free range.  Actually, the capital government has forbid raise chicken since the avian influence came. The citizen should slaughter that chicken ithey can send to the capital government. There is no other rule that retreat the law so the status still forbidden, meaning Jakarta citizen is not allowed raise chicken 

However people still raise chicken.  sometimes the chicken change. We are difficult to identify our chicken . Certainly, the other people also difficult to identify the chicken . That is why the people should sign the chicken. Off course , you do not have to use hot iron to. Make sign. On your chicken . My mother just cut its tail to make our chicken different to other. Off course in a month the chicken rail recover back. This way is not effective or what my mother donde was not effective. 

Some people tied the wong with factory. It does not harmful for chicken. The factory make the chicken different to other. The owner can claim. The chicken. This way is not hindered percent effective but it decrease the probability the chicken changed with other chicken. We can recognize the chicken from other people chicken. 

The chicken that is reiase in free range is not expensive but cheap. You can but it by providing $ 10 only. So this chicken just for table chicken only. Do not ask the hygiene of the chicken. They live in fre range that is contain of rubbish. We do not know any rubbish at the rubbish place. 

For the show chicken or game chicken, the owner would not release the chicken in free range. They take the chicken carefully. They provide limited range and always guard the chicken.

 

Hard Feather And Soft Feather

 Hard The plumage cover the feathaer of the chicken. The plumage also make the bird beautiful. There are hudreds feather color. People use the feather for duster that clean the room and the window. 

Actually  there are some kind of the plumage such as fluffy plumage, Silkie plumage and so on. Only two kind of two feather of the chicken such as hard type and soft type. the hard type is the kind of the chicken is less fluffy and near its body. The hard type come from tropical country that does not need cold protection. This make the chicken slim. the example of the chicken is red jungle fowl, Asil, Modern Game, and others. 

The other type is hard feather . this chicken has more abundant feather and they look fats. The example of the chicken is Silkie, Orpington, And Cochin. Soft feather  can protect the chicken from cold climate. some chicken can lay while in winter condition. The soft feather has produce more feather than the soft feather. the wing of soft feather chicken are used from badminton shuttlecock. 

Old German Owl Pigeon: The Pigeon from German

 German also breed some famous pigeon breed. That i have write about german homer pigeon. today i write the a german fancy pigeon that i think is similiar to the Satineete due to the small head relative to its body. The wing color is blue ash with double bar at the midlle of the wing. The remain feather color is white. There are some various of the color such as ash, red, brown, spread, white, and dilutes of same bas color

This pigeon is German owl. it called owl, referring its similarity face to owl. do not imagine the bird face is similar to big eye owl. the owl pigeon does not have big eye.

The bird is just for exhibition only. there is notes for the ability of flying of the bird. They may just have ability like other pigeon too. i believe this bird has no acrobat flying ability like tumblr pigeon. 

The bird is descent of the short faced German Shield Owl. Not surprisingly, the face of this German owl also short too. the beak also short. There are some exhibition for the bird there are some judgment. 

For example the frill of the plumage is one of the criterion of the judgment.  The broad breast is also one judgement for this nice bird. all the part of body is also judgement.

My Grandfather's turkey have not laid egg

 My grandfather brought at least three turkey that consist a tom and two hens. He love raising so many pet. At his house., he had so many bird such as chicken. The chicken that i remember is Vietnamese bald neck chicken. Either roster and hen are bald neck . The chicken was also bald neck that made me laugh.. The bird that provide the egg is Indian runner. At least my grandpa also had thirty Indian runner duck. I remember there is a black that is similar to Cayuga duck. There is also a flock  geese .

I love live at my grandparents house. The problem is the turkey have not lay the eggs. I suspected the seller sold the sterile hen that cannot lay any eggs. At the time, merely people risen turkey because they could not cook the turkey. On the other hand , chicken is simple to cook.

I browsed and find some reason that the make turkey do not lay eggs. the article said that turkey lays egg at 7 month. i believe my grandfather turkey has reach maturity but it have nit laid egg.

Using the Turkey Tail Feather as the Pen

 My friend of my friend used the turkey tail feather for pen. he written the book with it. Certainly, the feather just for the ballpoint casing only. He did not use it as fountain ink pen that is used by the people who live before 18th century. 

To me it is very nice and its attract the other people. People want to use it. Unfortunately, finding the turkey feather is not easy. my country is not United States where we can easily find turkey at there. my friend of my friend  get the feather from its own turkey. he had at least a group that contain a silver color male and two hen. Unfortunately, the turkey had not lay egg until he remove from the town. 

I am afraid that the turkey is sterile. I remember that grandfather also has a group of turkey that never lays any egg. perhaps the Indonesian hot climate is not fit with the turkey. Today we easily find this bird in Indonesia too.

Back to the feather story, i saw the male Muscovy duck has big feathe too. i got from the  duck. the wing cpover fteaher is so long that similiar to turkey but the shape is not straight as the turkey feather. i cut the edge and replace it with the ballpoin refill and i enjoy using it.
