Roste find rooster in other flock

Rostet need some hen. In normal , a roster need at least 6-10 hens. While some bantam juat live with one siblings in its small cage. When A Roster does not have hen , he will find the hen. 

Like story in Upin Ipin. a roster called Rambo lost. Datok find Rambo everywhere. Upin and Ipin has suspected a cat or civet has eat Rambo. The cat usually bot eat a roster. The cat could eat the small chicken . Some cat afraid to large roster pr angry hen. They do not want to close with them. On the other hand, civet could bring any chiken to top of the tree and eat them. 

Finally, Rambo found. Upin and Ipin said that Rambo have been found in neighbor's house where there were some hen. 

Rambo want to visit the heb. What Rambo has dones is an animal instinct. The animal should survive and has to multiply before death. 

When your chicken has no sibling. They nau find the sibling. A free range roster nah find the hen where is not far from them. They can liste the other hand sound. Some roster crow to tell other chicken that he is the owner of the land. Of course, he lalso tell to other hen. 

Broiler ayam kampung crosses

 

As the broad chicken, a broiler is a good meat chicken. it weighs 2 kilogram in 40 days. some broiler can beyond the weighs in 40 days. in my country, the farmer just raises for 30 days to produce less two-kilogram broiler meat. The people do not like big chicken. they like smaller chicken. On the other hand, the farmers must be pleasure because, they do not have to raise for next ten days. Raising for next ten days need more chicken feed, man power, electricity, and other costs.

The taste of broiler meet is not delicious as ayam kampung. The price is juts one third of Ayam kampung. People believe because the fast growing the meat is not delicious. However, this chicken meat has helped people.

Broiler is a descent of various chicken breed. A famous of the broiler parent is broad breast Cornish chicken. Not surprisingly, the broiler gets high breast from the Cornish.

The cornish is dedicated for meat production. its is derived from some game chicken that has upward posture. While some chicken also participates in broiler chicken such as Rhode Island Red and Plymouth Rock.

in my country, this chicken is risen for pet. Some chicken owner raises the broiler until two years. the two yeas chicken must be bigger than common broiler at the time. the broiler reaches the maximum weigh. Sometimes the broiler are used the parent of the chicken. Some experts cross the chicken with Ayam kampung to improve the meat production. The cross must be heavier than the ayam kampung.

The expert also selects some crosses. They just select the best performance for the ayam kampung. Some crosses is fast growing and some is resisted to some diseases. The owner often crosses the male broiler to ayam kampung because it the broiler female cannot hatch the egg. Most owner just traditional farmer who do not have incubator. It is not simple cross the broiler hen.

Raise Older two years layer

After two years, the farmer will replace the hen. changging the hen in order to keep the production. Keep the old layer is not productive. After two yeasr the egg production is decrease and they have still feed them with some protion chciken feed. it is not profitabel for commercial gees.

in my country, the older hen, called as spunt is sold as meat. Most commercial farm sell the spunt to traditional or modern market. I ask gemini that the commercial farm does not use the spunt as the human food. I have ever eat the spunt and it is good but you need more time to cock because the thick skin and the hard meat.

The spunt is good for soup, stew, and other. You can also make stocks and broth from the sput. Boil the meat with some vegetable such as onion, prey, cabbage, tomato, and else.

In United States, sometimes they use spunt for cat or dog food. the chciken are stunized and processed by the engine. Sometime they got burial the older chicken off course after the chicken. death.

Today some farmer in my country use th spunt for layer too. They just raise for two weeks and they got benefit from some eggs. They know that the spunt is not productive as the layer . They also sell the meat too and get benefit from it. The spunt is cheaper than ayam kam;pung and the taste is almost similar to ayam kampung. Some people prefer Spunt than Ayam kampung, due to its cheap price.

Some farmer use the spunt for croes breed. They mate the layer with ayam kampung. The farm aim is to create the crosbreed that egg production is better than ayam kampung. They succesfully for that. Through , ayam kampung egg is small but it is more expensive than common chicken  eggs. They believe the ayam kampung’s egg is better than layer eggs. Some believe that the egg can cure certain diseases (off course, I do not believe it).

Spurs and roster

 Spurs is a roster’s weapon. beside the beak, the roster use feet to punch the opponent. Some rosters also use the spurs. The spurs often make the opponent killed. Spurs like nail. it can grow. Spurs grow in back part of chicken shank.

the spurs is a sign the rosters mature. they grow until old. some spurs can grow up and it makes the chicken less agile. Some owner cut the spurs so they can walk easily. Some owner also sharpened the spurs for fighting (it is not wise to do that)

beware cutting the spurs because its could harm form your chicken. Your chicken could bleed after cutting to deep. the traditional farmer usually cut half of the long of the spurs. They do not cut all the spurs because it will harm to the chicken. Sometimes an owner also covers the spurs with tape band. The owner worry that the sharp spurs can harm the owner.

The spurs also sign the age of the chicken. the spurs grow longer as the age increases.  I remember my friend refused buy a hen with one cm spurs. he suspected the hen was old. The black and white hen was big but old.

Sometimes a hen also has spurs for certain chicken breed. I am very sure that the old chicken layer has no spurs.Having spurs does not mean the hen change to rosters. They still can lays egg some eggs and brood the chick. Some breed chciken such as new hampshire red and the rhode island red has hen with spurs.

Dorking Chicken, England Chicken that has five toes.

 

Dorking is a famous chciken breed come from Dorking, England. This rectangular body shape with short legs is good both ini meat and eggs. The color of egg is white, Eventhough,  the Dorking har red earlobes. Most the white eggs come from whie ear lobes hen. The average of egg production is not more than 200 egg a year, the exact range is 170-190 eggs. The egg production does not exceed the levels seen in common dual-purpose chickens, including the Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire, and Plymouth Rock.

This chciken is dual purpose chicken developed from Belgiia in Roman era. The dorking is a five toes chicken, similar to the silkie chicken. The roman brought the chicken as fine table.

THe chicken is large. the rooster weighs 4,55 to 6,55 kilogram (10-14 lbs); while, the hen weighs 3 to 5 kilogram (8-11 lbs). there is bantam version weighs around a kilograms. The roster bantam wieghs 1130 to 1360 grams, meanwhile, the hen slighlty diferrent. it weighs 910-1130 gram. Some bantam has rosecomb.

There are five color that is reconition bys the standard breeed, such as white, sliver grey, red, dark and cucko. The silver grey color is the color pattern with silver neck color. the silve grey also have grey color in sadddle and the center of wing. The remain color of is is black.

The Dorking is not hard winter due its wide comb. Meanwhile, the chciken is not tolerate with hot condition or hot weather.

In my country, there is dorking descendant. the descendant is called Ayam Kedu. The kedu has no five toes but the performance is similar to Dokring. They have have upright body and tall. The comb is also single wide with red earlobe. There is thre color variation of Kedu, such as White, Red and color.

 

Thai Game Chicken

Before 2010, I did not recognize any chicken pit breed beside Thai Chicken game This wide berast sleder and tta roster best for chciken fight. The chicken is rise for pi t cock chicken only. the owner usu for gamble. 

I do not like pit roosetr practice because its against animal walfaere. I just raise the rooster to improve ayam kampung genetics.  

I had raised Thai pit chicken. this chicken is a famous in my country. unfortunately, people raise it for pit cock. I just want to raise the chciken to breed the best breed. I cross a Thai male to the local chicken or Ayam kampung. the descen is better than its mother but its shorter than the father. 

Thai chciken is a pit cock. it has good reputaion for the the fighting chicken. the thail is very aggresive. they can fight until die. Some rooster chockse to drawn the arena when they cannot fight to opponent. the lose chciken cannaot fight again. they like a losser who afrrad to other chciken. wehereas a local chicken may run from the bad chciken but one day they can fight with the same chciken. the local chicken has hit and run strategy. 

Thai Chicken come from Thailand, suits with its name. They have been develeoped for hundreds years for it. the Thai has upright posture. string neck and beak. the shank is so compact and it could harm the owner. the rosterweight 3,5 kilograms while the hen is aroun 2,5 kilograms. while, ayam kampung just 1-1,5 kilogram. they have musucular body. it is a great breed with slender body. 

Today some raise the chicken for meat and show chciken. some people cross it with Cobb, Ayam kampong, and other chicken. the famous color is black breasted red. The skin benath the feather is red blood. The comb is red walnut.
