What looks Red Jungle Fowl Likes

What is the different of the jungle fowl to common fowl? My mother said that the feet or shank of the jungle fowl is black. At the time , I imagine the red jungle fowl was bantam. I had opinion that bantam eas the Jungle Fowl. My mother also add the description of the jungle fowl is so shorter than common chicken. 

My mother lived at village where her father have duty as wedana (major in English). She said the forest had so many wild animal such as Elephant, Tiger, Deer, Mouse Deer., and so on. She had are some deer meat that is very delicious. Cergay she also said there were so many ted jungle fowl Gallus Bankiva. I forgot what my mother said about the color of the Jungle Fowl.

Ini Sumatra, there is only one kind of jungle fowl, i.e. Red Jungle Fowl. The color of the roster is black breasted red. The dominant color is red. Actually the red is not actually red blood but red orange. The lower body from the front of neck to the tails is black irisdicent greent. That is  color of the parent of all chicken. Perhaps this most iconic color for chicken . 

Today, we can find some various ancestor. The size and shape is various. The smallest bantam is very light, compare to giant Brazilian Chicken Indio Gigante. There are some chicken that still similiar with is ancestor like the chicken in this blog post. The chicken color and body is similar to the ancestor. We called its ayam kampung. Some Ayam Kampung similiar to its ancestor. They have some color and the comb. Certainly, they cannot fly like the Jungle fowl but they can jump. They also produce more egg and meat. 

Sometimes , I ask my self. Why some chicken in human house. Were the chicken voluntarily go to the human. Well, some chicken still in jungle and enjoy live at there. Were the human catch the chicken and detained the chicken ini the coop ? We do not know well about it. 

Giant Cochin. Is it ornamental chicken ?

Recently,people raise the Giant as a pet in my country. They raise its as the ornamental chicken. The chicken price is so expensive, ten times from the common chicken. The price is so expensive but people want to buy it.

To me , the giant is not pet because it is has large body that we are difficult to hand it. The Giant are use to produce meat because the chicken is so big and tall. Standard Weight is 4kg and 3.2 kg for hen. So, you must provide huge chicken coops for the chicken.

To me the giant color is not attractive because it similar to the common chicken such as black, blue, and  Columbia.
The comb is small pea and it also not attractive. With the thick feather, the chicken is not suitable with my country where the humidity level is so high.

Brahma chicken : Heavy chicken from India

Due this tall and big chicken, this chicken is very interesting. The tall is almost two feet or 66 cm or two-third meters. this bird is taller than othe rcommon chicken such as new hampshire red, rhode island an others.

Brahma has full legged and feet plumage. This plumage and  the size of the chciken also make them less agile. They have bid "boot". This plumage make the difficult in wet or dirty environmente. the owner must notice tje plumage and it make the oner need more time to raise the chicken.

i feel this chciken is not suitable in my environment because   the heavy rain, my envorinment is wet like other topical country.  Since this chciken comes from tropical country, this chciken is suitabel for sub tropical country whih has four season. 

The chicken origin is Brahmaputra River, India. United States has developed the bird become the large class chicken that has heavyweight. Roosters weigh 5.5 kilogram (12 pound), while the hens weigh 4.5 kilogram (9.9 pound). Beside as the meat producer, a Brahma hen is also a good winter layer. The egg’s weigh 55-60 g approximately. The color of the egg shell is brown. 

The Brahma is massive, stately, and with upright carriage. They have short back. When standing, they almost appear to form V.

The head is large and has a small pea comb. The have double wattle and red earlobes.  

The color that United States standard accepted is light, buff, and dark. The Australia standard recognizes other color of Brahma such as, black, blue, barred, and crele. Brahma is also available in Bantam version which is smaller than the standard. light color is predominantly white, accented by black marking on hackle and tail feather. The dark color is penciled variation with laceled pattern. The buff color is predominnatly by buff or light brown. Either the light or  the buff share colomubian varieties. 

The chicken is tame and they want you to hold them. brahma is famous as a friendly chicken. though the very big body, it is a tame giant.
