Can a Hen crow

The above question in tittle may confusude you? The Roster usually can crow. Itis uncommon that a hen can crow. Some Roster crow in the morning to wake up the owner or other people. You must have read the lazy man or drunked ma throw a sandals or shoes to make the crow silent. 

Well, some hen can crow. The crowed hen is good for the female stock of bekisar chicken. They believe the crowed hen can descent to the kid or Ayam Bekisar. The hen crow is shorter than the rosters. I have raise a hen of ayam ketawa or laughing chicken. She has short crow that I like it. 

The hen alsonsome eggs. I guess she lay at least 8+10. Unfortunately, I have no rosters so the egg is infertile. The hen is also beautiful with brown buff feathered and yellow shank. There is a single folded comb. Actually, the hen woild be paired with golden feather local chicken. The space is so limited that is difficult to build the coop at my house. 

The hen crow is rerel but it is not special. The chicken lover does not find the hen crower except the bekisar breeder who fond of the crowed he n. The crowed hen cannot be participated in crowing chicken contest. The oartcipat of Contes must be rosters.

 This Italian chicken is popular among the hen layer that produced white skin egg. The productivity is also highs the hen can lays at least 250 eggs a year in average . The leghorn or the female leghorn is also crossed to green jungle fowl to produce the white Berkisar. Cross the green jungle fowl with the female leghorn. 

The leghorn also has red variation too. The color is similar to new Hampshire or Rhode Island Red. The color is dark brown color. 

As the layer, the hen lays may eggs 150-220 eggs a year. The amount of egg is not as much as the sister or white leghorn.  As the layer, the do not sit the eggs. Hatching its fertile egg needs other chicken or incubator chicken. 

The chicken has wide red blood single comb with many pints. its make the roster looks better than other chickens. while, the hen comb is red small chicken. the shank and beak is yellow.

 I am proud after hearing Indonesia has most expensive chicken ayam cemani. I am also proud that my country has so many chicken breed. Unfortunately, the chicken breed is not registered in American Poultry Association. The outside does not recognize some chicken breed from my country that is very special. To me those chicken breed has special crow.

There are some show to get the winner . The winner is the best performance song. The winner price is going to rise multiply times than others common chicken. It also more expensive than Ayam Cemani. I heard the contest winner will get some trophy too. Here there are

1 Ayam Pelung

This chicken is The biggest chicken in Indonesia

They have long and loud crow. The crow flow like the air stream. The onward put the cage in high place. They have some addition so the chicken crow can hear for hundreds meters. This chicken. Color is black, brown black tail, black breasted red with dark black feet and dark khaki feet.

The chicken come from Cianjur, the city of delicious rice producer. The Chicken spread to around Cianjur such as Bogor, Sukabumi, and Jakarta.

This chicken is the biggest chicken in Indonesia. They have a long and loud crow that flows like the air stream. 2. Ayam Bekisar

This chicken is green jungle fowl descent. The breeder crosses the green jungle fowl to the local or native chicken that is called ayam kampung. The bekisar has neck feather like it's father. The neck feather color is black bettle shine green and purple. The female color is dull and not interesting.

The crow is short beautiful shriek. Though the crow is short but people like the shriek. I also like the chicken usually the feather.

3. Ayam Burgo

This is a hybrid chicken too. The father ai red jungle fowl. This hybrid is almost similar to local chicken. The crow is beautiful too. Most Ayam Burgo color is red breasted red like it's father. The performance is not special to me but the people happy to raise the chicken because the crow.

4. Ayam Yungkilok

This chicken is from West Sumatra. They have a long crow and multiple stages, with longer ones being more expensive. There are various variations of Ayam Yungkilok.

5. Ayam Ketawa

The chicken comes from Southern Sulawesi. They have a crow that is similar to people laughing. The most common color is black breasted red, white, white with some red color in the wing.  

Artificial Insemination in Poultry: Increase the hatching eggs

A cock can fertilize 6 to 10 hens in flocks. With the cock, the hens produce fertile eggs that can hatch after 21 days hatching process. It will be difficult to produce fertile eggs if we have more hens than the roosters. Let says, I a flocks there are 40 hens with one roosters only. I think the rosters will not able to fertile the hens even you give it Viagra.
To overcome it, you can do artificial insemination in poultry. It is not easy. You have to message the chicken back to release the sperm. It needs time to learn it. It is better to collect the sperm at early morning.  Do not let the sun shine the sperm that could damage the quality of it.
Mix the sperm Nacl normal saline at ratio 1:10. The sperm is only 5 ml so you can use 50 ml NaCl. In my country, some breeder use chicken yolk sac or green coconut water.
Inject the sperm to the hens. You can use the sperm mix for 30 hens.
With artificial insemination, the hens will not be suffered with the male pressure; while, the roosters does not need to fertile so many hens.
We can cross any chicken that we like to produce high quality breed or improve the breed quality.
In my country, the breeder uses this method to produce bekisar chicken. Bekisar is a descendant of green jungle rooster (Gallus Varrius) and landrace hens (Gallus domesticus. The Rooster is a wild chicken that is difficult to tame. It is also difficult to match it with landrace hens. The Rooster is nervous and does not dare with bigger hens. Some hens often bully the roosters too.
