Asil Chicken is a bird that is originating in India. This is a famous modern cock fighting. it is distributed in India Sub Continent. The performance of Asil Chicken is good. They are very aggressive and it may not be suitable to your backyard.


In some country, cockfighting is forbidden including in my country. They police may arrest you for participating in cock fighting. The cockfighting also relates to gambling. There is no cockfighting without gambling. Off course the gambling also forbidden in my country.

The chicken is strong look with lean body. the breast is so wide. the tail is long but no longer as the Japanese Chicken. The tails grow straight. The feet are also strong and it could make the seriously damage to the opponent.

The bird is also big the roster weighing 4-6 kilogram and the hen is 3-4 kilograms. It has borad chest and some roster has no chest feather. The skin are red blood.

Grey Jungle fowl : South Indian Junglefowl that is grey in color

As guess its name, the fowl is grey in color and comes from jungle. This Phanasidae family comes from Indian and South Asian jungle. Its habitat is primary and secundary jungle. The Latin name for this species is Gallus Sonnerati, meaning the chicken of Sonnertai. It takes name the founder of this chicken Pierre Sonnerat.
The performance is similar to red jungle fowl. They have single wide comb that is red in color.
The feet is red or yellow in color. The male has spurs for fighting. The jungle fowl could run fast to avoid predator chase.
The size is not different with other jungle fowl, lengthening 80 cm from beak to edge sickle tail. The hen is only 38 cm in size. The hen lays 4-7 eggs in a clutch. Like most chicken, the eggs will hatch in 21 days.
The habitat of the chicken is jungle. It eats the edge of grass, leaf, fruit, and insect.

Brahma Chicken Profile

Brahma Chicken is a Asiatic Chicken Breed from India. As guess its name, the Bird origin is in the Brahmaputra region, India. This is the biggest breed among Asiatic breed. The rooster weighs up to 12 pounds; while the hen weighs 9 pounds. The cockerel weighs 10 pounds and the pullet weighs 8 pounds.

The chicken has pea comb, double witted, and red earlobes. It has thick feather so it is good to hatch the eggs. This chicken has good reputation as good setters and good mother. You can trust them to raise their chick. It has feather in shanks, The tail feather is short. Most tail the feather is black in color. rooster has imperfect feather tail. Some chicken has no tail (rumpless).

Beside the weighs, the bird can lay many eggs too. It can lay three eggs a week. The chicken also tolerate with winter.

This breed has been imported 1846 in America. The breed has been recognized by American Poultry Association (APA). Brahma Chicken have color variation; light, dark, and buff.

This bird is very tame and docile. The roosters is very tame and not aggressive to human. The bird is not easy to scared. That is why people raise this bird as pet. There are bantam version of this chicken.
