Black Chicken is not Black Color

 

I have some nice black chicken. MY hen was that i remember is the black chicken from our neighbor. My neighbour gave a pullet to whoever help him in his party. in underdeveloped country, we also help our neighbour to cook at neighbor’s party for celebrate something.

I raise the hen for some month. I wash the chicken with detergent. My mother was so sorry. but i saw some green and purple colour that sometimes appear. the black chicken feathers are known to have reflection of purple and green in the sun

i can say that is no pure black color chicken because they also reflect the green or purple color. even cemani chicken. the color actually is not black or ebony but you can still see the purple color and green color at the neck, saddle, wing and the tail feather. Mostly the male also shows the color. it makes the chicken look beautiful

it is the characteristics of the fowl feather. You can also see the purple and green at the pigeon neck. the male usually lighter than the female. it is identity of the male pigeon.

We can also saw the purple and the green. the phenomena is iridescent, when a colour change the angle.

I am very happy hear Indonesia have most expensive chicken

I am very happy after hear the chicken from Indonesia is the most expensive. I have rise the cockerel of the most expensive chicken. To be honest. My chcuken is not eapensive as the rumor that viral in media. My chicken is not pure black like Java but there is a little bit golden or yellow splash about thee wings . The foot is not full black in color too. 

I like the chicken

 Unfortunately, he got sick. Most the chicken from poultry farm cannot stand for few days . They are have to slaught after few days. Because the chicken come from other region that need at least two days journey. The fortunately, we could slaught the chicken before fiedmd in Moslem religion we are forbidden to eat the death chicken. The meat is black and my brother do not like the chicken. .o still like the meat though it is black. 

Back to Cemani. This is legend of chicken

And I ya relate to some myth that java people believe it. The price could reach 25 million rupiahs and it is about $1500. Whiles the native chicken or common chicken is only 125 thousand rupiahs and it is equivalent to $7,5. 

The Cemani also special because their plumage. My here is back feather, fur, the bone feather, and also. The more unique, more expensive. I saw the price today is not lbeyond six hundreds thousan rupiah for big black roster.besides the price abyear ago is around two million rupiahs. 

Today, there area so many breeder that offers cheaper chicken. I also wanting raise the 

Ayam Cemani Black Chicken from Central Java, Indonesia

I am so surprised this chicken color is black. It is called Cemani, due the color of chicken is all black. Cemani is a bahasa Indonesia word, which it is  meaning black. Sometimes, we found the beak chicken is not totally black. 

The chicken is very expensive . It could reach one millions rupiah, whick is ten times of common landrace chicken. Cemani is not different to other Indonesia landrace chicken. The weight ia only 3-4 kilogram for rosters and 2-3  kilogram for hen. The hen is a good sitter too. The comb is single. The roster has bigger comb with many points. 

The skin and the meat color is black. Some people do not like the black meat. I had this chicken. Not all feather is black. There is some gold yellow at the chicken back. 

The black chicken is always related to mystique activity. I do not believe this chicken  can give you fortune or money.

White egg laying chicken breed

There are various chicken egg shield color, such as, brown, white, blue and green. Most chicken lays brown eggs. If you want white eggs, you need to raise the certain chicken breed. Here are the chickens that lay white eggs:

White leghorn. The bird comes from Tuscany, Italy. It is a small variety of chicken. The roosters weigh 6 pounds and the hens weigh 4.5 pound. The hen can lay up to 300 eggs yearly. This breed is suitable for commercial farm. The chicken is white solid in color. It has mid size single comb with two witted and white earlobes. The feet are yellow in color.

Brown Leghorn. This is the sister of White Leghorn. Unlike the sister, it cannot produce eggs as many as the sister. The roster is red partridge in color; while, the hen is dark brown in color. The neck and saddle color is red orange. It has single comb with six points, double witted and white earlobes.

This is a light type chicken. The roosters weigh 6 lbs; while, the hens weigh 4.5 lbs.

Californian White

This is a big white layer. The California is the descendent of White Leghorn and California Grey rosters. The Roosters weigh 7 lbs and then hens weigh 5.5 lbs. The performance is almost similar to leghorn. It has comb single with six points, double witted and white earlobes.

Buff Catalans

The bird origin is Catalan, near Barcelona, Spain. It is also called as Catalana, or Catalana del Prat Leonada, or just Prat. This breed is dual purpose chicken. The bird is black tail buff in color. This is a Mediterranean chicken breed that lays white eggs. It has clean shanks and comb middle single with six points.

Like other layer hen, the hens are unlikely to go broody. Therefore, you cannot use this chicken to hatch eggs.

Sumatra Black

Sumatra Black is a chicken breed from Sumatra, Indonesia. Although the chicken is black in color, the chicken lays white eggs. Unfortunately, the hen lays few eggs. This chicken is not suitable for commercial. It is black-greenish in color. The rooster has long feather tail.

Cemani Chicken

This bird origin is Java, Indonesia. Indonesian people call it "Ayam Cemani". It lays white eggs too. The hen can lay up to 250 eggs in a year. Unfortunately, this bird is very rare. Only few people care this bird. It is because the chicken has dark meat.
